Portville Hall of Fame
Robert Quick served on the Portville Central School Board of Education from
1969 to 1991, fourteen of those years of President. A lifetime member of
Portville’s Parent Teacher Organization, he also was active in the Cattaraugus
County Shrine Club, Christ United Methodist Church, Olean Lodge 252,
Portville American Legion Post 814 and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He was employed by the New York Telephone Company for 44 years retiring
as supervisor in 1992.
