Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony at Chestnut Hill Cemetery

The parade starts at the school on Elm
Street, up South Main Street to the Post
Office downtown, then up Temple Street
to Chestnut Hill for the traditional speeches
and gun salute, honoring all Veterans.

The Legion also holds their annual Chicken
BBQ Dinner immediately following the
parade, in back of the Legion, located at

Once revered as "Colonial Days", founded by Mr. Chuck Lucas, Heritage Day is held on the 2nd
Saturday in July every summer.  Though much more scaled-down than Colonial Days, the day still
consists of good old-fashioned fun for all ages.

Local organizations and businesses set up in Pioneer Park and in the front lawn of the Portville Free
Library.  There is a pancake breakfast at the Masonic Lodge, home-made baked goods, the "Friends of
the Library" sells hot dogs, PHPS has a booth with books and photographs on display, and Portville
Baptist Christian School has games, candy, and balloons for the kids.

In past years there has been Joyful Rescues animal petting area, the 4H Bunnies, raffles, craft vendors,

In Pioneer Park, Bob and Holly Fischer are holding their annual Vintage Car Show again this year.  
There craft vendors, food vendors (including BBQ chicken and pork), and much, much more!  Don't
miss the fun!

Sweet Valentine's Day Party at Bedford Corners
