Portville Hall of Fame
Pauline Gladys Maxson has served as a Portville Elementary School
Volunteer since 1986. Because of her longstanding dedication to the students,
the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International presented her with the Verna
Mulholland Friends of Education Award in 2004. A life-long member of the
Portville United Methodist Church, she served as President of the Women’s
Society for many years and as a member of the Administrative Board and the
Pastor’s Committee. In 2001, she was honored at Houghton College for
outstanding leader/member of Portville’s United Methodist Church’s
congregation.
