Portville Hall of Fame
Anne Loomis Dusenbury has resided in Portville since 1962. Her
accomplishments for the youth of Portville have been many. She served as
President of the Portville Teacher’s Association and was the founder of the
Portville Chapter of the American Field Service, AFS. As a pioneer for
students with learning disabilities, she started the first chapter of ACLD
(Association of Children with Learning Disabilities) located in Western New
York. The Portville community continues to benefit from Anne’s involvement
with the Portville Historical and Preservation Society, Portville Friends of the
Library, and the Pfeiffer Nature Center.
