Portville Hall of Fame
Lyman Baker, through his professionalism and deep commitment to the Village
of Portville, earned the respect of his peers and the people he was sworn to
protect as Portville’s Chief of Police. A humble, caring man, the youth became
his priority. As Director of Public Works for the Village of Portville for 42
years, Lyman cared for the village as though it were his own family. Chief
Baker was a true legend in his time.
