Portville Hall of Fame
After serving with the Army Air Corps during World War II, Eugene
Williams returned home to become a pillar in the community. He served on the
Portville Central School board of Education in the early 1960’s and later as
Dog Warden, Constable, and Supervisor for the Town of Portville. For many
years he umpired and coached Little League Baseball. His outstanding
dedication to the Kinney Hose Company of Weston’s Mills Fire Department
began when he was sixteen. He served as a fireman for over seventy years.
